Ten Point Program of the Party of Labour of Aotearoa
What We Want and What We Believe.
1. We Want Full and Equal Employment for the All of the Proletariat
We believe that every member of the Proletariat should have access to a job that provides a guaranteed income regardless of nationality, gender, or disability. If the bourgeoisie fails to meet this, then their means of production should be confiscated from them and placed in the hands of a Proletarian State that will achieve this task.
2. We Want the Social Surplus Value to be Invested Back into the Community
We believe that the surplus value created by the workers should not be used to line the pockets of the already wealthy shareholders, but should be used to raise the living standards of all workers and raise the productive forces of the nation. If the Bourgeoisie fail to do this, than their means of production should be confiscated from them and put in the hands to a Proletarian State and production and set in motion to raise the nation’s productive forces and increase the standard of living for all.
3. We Want An End to All Unjust Military Operations and Support That Our Country Participates In
We believe that war can be split up into two kinds: just and unjust. All wars that are progressive are just, and all wars that impede progress are unjust. New Zealand and the New Zealand Defence Force has never been in a just war. All wars that New Zealand has participated in has been for the defence of colonialism and global imperialism that hinder progress. We believe that military aid that supports unjust wars should cease immediately regardless of any promises made or treaties that we have signed.
4. We Want An End to the Imperialism Practiced by the Reactionary New Zealand Government and the New Zealand Bourgeoisie
We believe that Capitalism Imperialism can only survive by subjugating smaller nations for the use of cheap commodities - Mainly Labour and Raw Materials. The New Zealand Bourgeoise thrives off of importing cheap commodities from overseas to sell at a higher markup back home. Imperialism cannot allow nations in the Imperial Periphery to prosper, as this will raise the price of labour and reduce profits. The reactionary New Zealand Government does nothing to stop this exploitation. In fact, it fully supports these imperialist practices by drafting up trade treaties and enforcing laws that are beneficial to the national Bourgeoisie.
5. We Want Everyone in New Zealand to Have Equal Access to Affordable and Nutritious Food
We believe that in a mainly agrarian nation, where the majority of foodstuffs are exported abroad, our people should not have to struggle to find nutritious food at an affordable price. If the bourgeoisie fails to do this, then their means of production shall be confiscated and turned over to the Proletarian State where it will be subjugated to a central plan in order to meet this task.
6. We Want Unity Between Māori and Pākehā
We believe that true progress between Māori and Pākehā relations, between the colonisers and colonised, can only be achieved by taking back the land that was unjustly stolen and turning it into common ownership in the hands of constituent Republics of a United Soviet Socialist Republic. This Union Republic will be not based on exploitation and domination of one nationality over another, but on socialist fraternity and mutual consideration of nations.
7. We Want Decent Housing Fit For the Shelter of Human Beings
We believe that everyone should have access to safe housing. All surplus housing stock should be turned over to the Proletarian State. All means of production relating to the upkeep and construction of housing should be turned over to the Proletarian State for the upkeep of the current housing stock and construction of new homes.
8. We Want An End to the Destruction of the Environment
We believe that due to the laws of Capitalism, it is a system that is unable combat the rising threat of Climate Change and Economic Collapse that it itself produces. Capitalism is based off of infinite growth in a world with finite resources. If the masses demand production to slow down so they can live in a habitable world, then the Capitalist system will plunge itself into a crisis as it cannot cope with a limit on economic growth. Capitalism requires commodities to be produced, not for the inherent use-values, but for their exchange value. The means of production should be turned over to a Proletarian State where it will be subjugated to a Central Plan that will transform production to produce goods based on the needs of society with minimal damage done to our environment.
9. We Want an End to the Periodical Crises That Our Current Mode of Production Produces
We believe that a mode of production that periodically destroys the nation’s productive forces and creates in order to cope with a crisis is irrational. Capitalism fails to remedy this in built function and digs itself into a deeper hole as each crisis rises. All privately owned means of production should be turned over to the Proletarian State in order to shift our production to a central plan based on the common ownership of the means of production, eliminating the need for crises.
10. We Want All Members of the Proletariat to be Well Armed and Well Trained in the Use of Firearms
We believe that in order to carry out all revolutionary aims, violence must be used to overthrow the oppressors. We do not fetishise violence, yet, we are not pacifists. We only see violence as a historical law when a new order replaces the old, or when the old order retaliates and comes to destroy progressivism.
Chairman Mao once said that “Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun. Our principle is that the Party commands the gun, and the gun must never be allowed to command the Party. Yet, having guns, we can create Party organizations, as witness the powerful Party organizations which the Eighth Route Army has created in northern China. We can also create cadres, create schools, create culture, create mass movements. Everything in Yenan has been created by having guns. All things grow out of the barrel of a gun”. When the masses are organised around a revolutionary vanguard party, with all the masses are armed, we will be able to discard of the Bourgeois State and replace it with a Proletarian State that will achieve our revolutionary program.
History shows that the counter-revolutionary forces will not stand complacent while this event is happening and will use whatever force it deems necessary to wipe out the revolution and return to the old order. Take the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, for instance. The RSFSR and USSR fought off multiple foreign Imperialist invasions. The so called ‘backwards’ people disgraced the advanced militaries of the Entente, the Polish, the Finns, and the Axis by forming the Red Army, an army of the armed masses, led by the correct guidance of the Bolshevik Party under the correct guidance of Comrade Lenin and Comrade Stalin.
If a New-New Zealand, which we call Aotearoa, is to ever be established, we must understand that global Capitalism and global Imperialism will not rest until either we or them are destroyed.
